It’s time to take the bull by the horns, embark on a lexical voyage, and cast aside that imposter syndrome. Become the fount of all lexical knowledge for your students.
Practise your receptive skills as you listen to engaging answers to the tasks. Practise your decoding skills as you listen to spot new lexical items.
Practise your deduction skills as you use the context to decipher the meaning of unknown lexis.
Hover over the lexical items to see quick definitions, and check your ideas without the bother of consulting a dictionary.
Join a group of 4-6 teachers to have lively discussions using the new lexis, and personalise it in your response to the weekly task. Work together with Nicola to upgrade your output.
Use the detailed cards to refine your understanding of the lexis. Try the Learn & Test options to further grasp the usage.
Complete the tasks to aid your memorisation & see the lexis in different contexts. All the tasks recycle previously seen lexis, too.
Practise your productive skills, writing answers to thought-provoking questions that incorporate the new lexis. Respond to other participants’ views to encourage a lively chat within our community.

If you want to do the Lexical Sprint, tell us which Module or block of units you want access to. Once you pay, you will get access to Thinkific where you can work through the units you have paid for at your own pace. You will have lifetime access to the material.
Thinkific to host the course material. WhatsApp or Telegram to build our community, Quizlet & Wordwall to practise the lexis, and Zoom for the live sessions. Occasionally, we will use Padlet for some pre-lesson work, too.
You can pay by PayPal or by a bank transfer.
This will enable me to assess your level and make sure you are compatible with the rest of the group. You will have the chance to ask any questions you may have and get a feel for what it would be like working with me.
You will still get all the material before and after the session. I will also send you a recording of the session so that you can catch up. There won’t be any reduction in the price as you are occupying a place on the course.
My advice is to follow the order as the lexis is recycled as the course goes on. The tasks become more densely packed with new items as the course progresses. However, if you prefer to jump in halfway through, that is up to you.
If a place becomes available in the Speaking Club, you can move across by paying the difference. If you find you become unable to make the Zoom meetings, you could change to the self-study mode, and we would make the financial adjustments. However, this isn’t possible within a block of 4 units unless we can find someone to occupy your place.

I’d like to thank you a million times for this absolutely amazing journey that I’ve become a part of. It might sound like a cliché but studying with you has truly overhauled my life. Need to thank my lucky stars for accidentally finding you on Instagram 🥰
First and foremost, it’s such an honor to be a student of a highly competent teacher like you. And frankly speaking, I struggle with using this specific word ‘teacher’ as you’re more than that to me 💗. I’d say it’s your true calling to inspire students and teach them with absolute affection and devotion. You’ve managed to pay decent attention to each and every student, all of your lessons are well thought out and your approach to teaching is impeccable. And the supplementary materials! It’s tremendous work, to say the least 😍
On top of that, I absolutely loved all the topics of our course. They’ve made me ponder on sooo many things ranging from advice to my younger self to my aspirations.
Being able to discuss them with like-minded people from our cozy group is the cherry on top.
And last but not least, the VOCABULARY!! I mean, modesty aside, I’ve always thought my English is pretty good 😅 but I’ve been absolutely gobsmacked with litteraly toooons of juicy expressions and idioms.

Have you ever had a narrow escape that catapulted you into a spectacular meltdownan occasion when a person becomes extremely upset and is not able to deal with a problem or situation? To be honest, I’ve had more than I care to remember but the one that still sends shudders skitteringto move quickly and lightly along a surface down my spine when I dredge it up happened when I was in Colombia. Between CELTA courses, my husband and I did a lot of gallivanting and on this particular occasion we’d been scouting out various locations on the Caribbean coast.
We were on the last legA particular stage or portion of a trip of the journey back to our apartment on a local bus
– a route we’d done several times so we were pretty blasénot impressed, excited or worried about something, because you have seen or experienced it many times before about being the only foreigners amongst the regular commuters. Little did we know how rattled(informal) worried or nervous we’d be feeling before the end of the journey!

Once we were back unscathed in the apartment we fessed up about how we both felt we’d been staring down the barrelfaced with the pending danger of something happening and thanked our lucky stars to be grateful for opportunities or good fortune that we’d dodged the bullet and lived to tell another tale.
